Linda Woloshansky - President & CEO
Mrs. Woloshansky has 28 years of experience as a CEO of four companies. Her experience includes working for the private sector, school systems, the state of Indiana and non-profits in many different capacities. Her background includes the development of several award winning programs and systems with investments exceeding $200,000,000. She is a certified Six Hats trainer, School-to-Work Specialist, Certified Training Consultant (from Ball State University), and has taught at state universities and economic development institutes throughout the country. Mrs. Woloshansky has served as a consultant on workforce and board governance and has written numerous articles and made presentations across the country on workforce, education, and economic development.
Linda Burrus - Executive Assistant
Mrs. Burrus joined CWI in the summer of 2001. Although her primary role is supporting the President and CEO of the organization, she is also the primary administrative support for the Northwest Indiana Workforce Board. Previous to her position at CWI, she worked for an engineering firm as office manager and was the Administrative Asssitant to the President of a construction firm.
Sandy Alvarez - Region 1 Business Service Manager
Mrs. Alvarez began her career in the social services arena where she was Director of Program Development at the Jane Addams Hull House Association in Chicago. While at Hull House she developed innovative youth programs including their Jump Start program which won high recognition in the area of working with juvenile offenders. In addition to her position as the WorkOne Business Services Manager, she facilitates the programs of the Strategic Skills Initiative programs throughout the region. Sandra attended Valparaiso University and Springfield College.
Susan Bublitz - Fiscal Director/Comptroller
Mrs. Bublitz has overhauled and aligned the local fiscal operations since joining CWI in 2001. Under her direction, the corporation has passed all audits, monitoring, and contracted reviews for CWI's governmental and non-governmental funds. Other areas in the state and the state itself has utilized and continues to utilize her financial expertise. She is currently President of the Financial Officers of Indiana.
Tammi Cook - Finance Assistant
Tammi graduated from Purdue University Calumet with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She has worked as an Officer Manager/Bookkeeper for 12 years in the banking and distribution industries. Prior to joining the Center as Finance Assistant, Tammi also worked as a Business Administrator at EMT Ambulance for three years in Muncie Indiana.
Erik Dombrowski - Workforce Associate-Research
Though Erik may be the Center’s labor market analyst, he did not start out in the field of economics. After graduating high school, he attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. After his freshman year and realizing that he wasn’t passionate about the subject material, Erik decided to venture home and earn a Bachelor’s degree in business economics from Purdue University North Central. He’s eager to use and expand his knowledge and make a difference in his home region.
Nicholas Elliott - Regional WorkOne Manager
As the Regional WorkOne Manager, Nicholas manages multiple WorkOne programs in the region. Prior to joining CWI, he was a Career Advisor at the Hammond WorkOne office and within a year led the Hammond WorkOne team as Center Manager. Nicholas holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences and Arabic from the University of Chicago and a BA in Anthropology and French from Texas State University. He serves on multiple nonprofit committees in Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
Miche Grant
Miche presently spearheads the Regional WorkOne MIS and IT departments, runs the 12 center adult education services, oversees a 9 school system AmeriCorps program, and provides other short term technical assistance services. Her professional experiences range from a running a resort in Wisconsin, to a Child Protection Caseworker, COO/Vice President of Kankakee Valley Workforce Development Services, and currently is an International Consultant developing programs that focus on Economic Renewal, Human Resource Development, One Stops, Workforce Boards, customizing government services, child labor, human trafficking and Worker Dislocation systems in countries such as: Armenia, Ukraine, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Chile. She has worked on contract for the US government, the World Bank, and European Union.
Miche holds Masters Degree in Workforce and Organizational Development from Valparaiso University, and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University. Miche is a Certified Training Consultant through Ball State University and has a Graduate Certification in Distance Learning Education from Indiana University. Additionally Miche serves as a National Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Examiner, as well as state examiner for Washington, Colorado, and the Ohio/Indiana partnership.
When in the area, Miche serves on a number of community based boards and committees, volunteering her time to worthy causes.
Barbara Grimsgard- Communications Manager
Barbara manages all awareness efforts related to CWI projects and services. Prior to joining CWI, she was the Convention & Meetings Coordinator at Smith Bucklin & Associates, an association and nonprofit multi-management firm in Chicago. She also spent 10 years as the Director of Education & Meetings for the Association Forum of Chicagoland where she worked on development and awareness of their educational programs and oversaw a budget totaling more than $750,000. Barbara has a BA in Communications from Purdue University and has a Certified Meeting Professional certification. Barbara serves on several nonprofit boards and committees in the Northwest Indiana area.
Robyn Minton - Vice President of Operations
Ms. Minton has over 20 years of not-for-profit experience including expertise at the local state, and national levels. She is responsible for the integration, alignment, and innovation of the WorkOne centers as the One Stop operator. Robyn's skills lie in working in change management, program development, human capital management and monitoring and oversight. She has an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BA in Sociology.
Jim Morgin - Workforce Associate
Born and raised in Calumet City, Illinois, Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University. He spent 10 years in sales at Amtrak and four years working in admissions with American Intercontinental University. Prior to joining the Center as a Workforce Associate, Jim spent two years as a Business Service Representative with WorkOne in the region.
Tim Post- WorkOne Technology Manager
Tim is a Microsoft Certified professional and received his Associates degree from Purdue University North Central. He has designed systems, provided technical support, developed process and procedural manuals, and has knowledge in every aspect of IT. He has designed, implemented and is the technical support for all IT related matters at the 12 WorkOne locations in Region 1. Prior to joining CWI, Tim served as a systems administrator in the workforce development sector with emphasis on field operational support.
Tamara Stump - Senior Workforce Associate
Tammy has over 15 years experience in workforce development and 8 years experience working with WIA programs. She specializes in Youth Services programs and provides technical assistance to service providers. Tammy also performs Rapid Response duties for companies that are reducing their workforce by providing information regarding unemployment filing, training opportunities, etc. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Valparaiso University.
Martina Tovar - Business Services
Martina has over 16 years experience managing corporate relations related to diversity recruiting initiatives, community outreach and sales in industrial products. She was born and raised in the Northern suburbs of Illinois and graduated from the Institute of Superior Studies in Monterrey, Mexico (TEC of Monterrey) with a Major in Business Administration and a Minor in Hotel & Tourism Management. For the last few years, she has participated as a member of the Lake Area United Way Vision Council and serves as a mentor & member with the H.O.P.E. organization, which focuses on widening the opportunities of success in College for Hispanic High School Juniors in Northwest Indiana.
Roy Vanderford
Roy Vanderford joined the Center of Workforce Innovations as Director of the Workforce Strategies Team. Considered a leading expert on workforce board development throughout the country, Vanderford has successfully worked in over 35 states to build state, regional, and local strategies to link workforce, economic development, and educational action plans. He has served as CEO of three different boards including Indianapolis, Louisville (KY) and Evansville (IN). Since the late 1970s, he played national leadership and training roles in the workforce development field through affiliations with the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, and the National Association of Workforce Boards. Vanderford most recently served as Senior Vice President of Workforce Strategies for Thomas P. Miller & Associates in Indianapolis and prior to that for the Corporation for a Skilled Workforce, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Vanderford holds a Masters of Public Affairs from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
