NextLevel Jobs Open House

NextLevel Jobs is an initiative of the State of Indiana launched in August 2017. It is a partnership among the Governor’s Office, the Department of Workforce Development (DWD), and the Commission for Higher Educa-tion (CHE). Two grants, the Workforce Ready Grant (WRG) for individuals and the Employer Training Grant (ETG) for employers, are available through NextLevel Jobs. Both are designed to skill up workers interested in securing high-demand jobs in priority industry sectors.

What to expect at the open house:

• Representatives from DWD and CHE will be on hand to discuss both grants first with employers and then with the general public. Brief presentations during the public open house will be held at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. CDT, followed by one-on-one Q&As.
• Representatives from Ivy Tech Community College and Vincennes University, the two training partners for NextLevel Jobs, will also be on-site.
• Individuals and employers will be able to complete and submit online applications for both WRGs and ETGs on the spot if they choose. Applications take no more than a few minutes.
